Digital transformation of agricultural servicesAbstract
The digital transformation of agriculture began 15 - 20 years ago with the spread of farm management software, GPS control of agricultural machines and the introduction of e.g. yield and fertilizer sensors. Today, these technologies provide the data base for big data, machine learning and other current digital technologies. In his lecture, Dr. Nachtmann presents concrete practical examples showing how farmers and agricultural industry use digital technologies today to achieve sustainably better yields. He explains the BASF Maglis product portfolio and discusses the success factors involved.
