Zusammenfassung
The greatest strength of an organization is its people, experts that understand and drive the business and the IT. What is the best way to tap into this knowledge and organize crowds into powerful knowledge networks to help ease and accelerate important initiatives within an organization? Moreover, what is the best way of discovering information that only a few users possess, out of a large pool of candidate information holders within an organization? In this talk, we present PeopleCloud, a novel Web-service that enables crowdsourcing mechanisms to constitute and manage virtual teams of knowledge experts, on-demand, to address knowledge-intensive tasks. We demonstrate a set of practical, crowdsourcing use cases within the enterprise, which discover, integrate and manage the business and IT knowledge. Furthermore, this powerful knowledge network, generated as a result of crowdsourcing run, can be situationally engaged for various large-scale business and IT transformation initiatives.
We will discuss the evolution of the PeopleCloud service, the factors that affect the success of these collaborative endeavors, including social elements, incentive mechanisms, and other technical and even legal challenges.
