Activities

Roland Görlitz graduated from the University of Karlsruhe and majored in Computer Technology/Computer Science specializing in information systems, robotics and organizational behavior. During his thesis he worked at the Surgical Planning Lab of the Brigham Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.
From 2009 until 2013 he was part of the research group of Prof. Weinhardt at the Research Center for Information Technologies (FZI) in the unit Information Process Engineering (IPE). During this time, he mainly investigated inter-organizational information management, service engineering and eHealth. From December 2013 until October 2015 Roland Görlitz was general manager at the Karlsruhe Service Research Institute (KSRI).

His major research topics are

  • Coordination and information management in inter-organizational service networks
  • Service Science, Management and Engineering
  • Telemedicine, mobile health and health apps
  • Health 2.0 and patient communities
